Why 90-Minute Lessons Work Well
Although the standard hourly rate is £50, my usual lesson is 90 minutes for £75.
In my experience, 90 minutes gives learners the right balance between concentration and meaningful practice. There is enough time to reinforce skills you've already developed, introduce new subjects and then put those new skills into practice during the same lesson.
A one-hour lesson can sometimes feel too short to introduce, practise and consolidate a new skill properly. At the other end, two-hour lessons can become mentally tiring, particularly for newer drivers who are processing a lot of information.
For most learners, 90 minutes provides a productive pace without becoming overwhelming.
Intensive Driving Courses
Intensive tuition is available for learners who want to have lessons more frequently and make progress over a shorter period of time.
Intensive courses are arranged around your current ability, availability and the amount of tuition you need. More frequent lessons can help maintain continuity, but the pace will still be adapted to your progress rather than rushing through skills.
